Lots of good news

Earlier this month we were honored to attend Brandi's (Brandon's fiance) pinning ceremony. She has officially finished nursing school and will now be entering the the workforce as a nurse. We are very proud and happy for her.

I just received a call from Ashley (my niece) she has officially finished all her requirements and testing from her cosmetology school. She has worked very hard and we are proud of her accomplishment.

Congratulations ladies, your hard work is going to pay off. We are so very proud of your hard work and dedication.

Happy New Year!

I just want to take a minute and thank everyone that follows my blog. I appreciate the nice comments. And thanks to all for making 2008 a wonderful year. We have all had our share of hardships this year. But I must say, our family has been so blessed. We are all in good health, have a roof over our heads and and a full belly at the end of the day. This is so much more than some people have and we are thankful for it. We are surrounded by loving family, good friends and I am lucky enough to work for some wonderful folks. We are looking forward to another great year in 2009 and wish happiness and good health to everyone.

Hugs,
Felicia

Stephen's Big Decision

He announced to us several weeks ago that he had signed the papers and is a member of the United States Army. We have been aware for many months of his intent. And we knew that he was prepared to sign on that particular day. We are very proud to say the least. I believe everyone he knows has tried to make sure he is aware of the commitment he was making. This was his decision and we stand behind him 100%. I won't go into all the details of the fears this brings. We are going to focus on all the positives that are ahead for Stephen. There is so much a man can learn in the military that he will carry throughout his entire life. He has agreed to serve and protect this country for the next 4 years and we applaud him. He will be shipping out for boot camp in Ft Benning Ga. on March 17th. This is just days after his brother Brandon is marring his best friend Brandi. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

I just thought she looked cute :)

First Tooth GONE!

Talk about traumatic, she was hysterical. She wanted her tooth back in. I told her the first tooth was the most special and that the tooth fairy brought you a present for that one. OOPS! So you know how that ended.

Bill Myers at Myers Portrait Gallery Used Camryn's picture from last year to advertise this year

He is a wonderful photographer. He did our (Fields) family picture years ago and did an excellent job. All 16 people looked great! Camryn has had her Santa picture done there the last 5 years.

Merry Christmas

Special thanks to Sharon Johnson, she made one of these and her's inspired me to make this one.
Here is a picture of the Merry Christmas tag books. I made these kits for the gift bags at our Christmas party last night. If you have any problem assembling them please call me. And I would like to see any changes you make or add to it. We had a wonderful time. I received a beautiful Santa ornament in the swap. The food and company was great. Please be safe during your holiday travels, enjoy visiting with family and friends. Have a very Merry Christmas. I wish everyone a safe, happy, and healthy New Year.

December 1st Stampers Challenge

Ok, this time I am really giving you tons of time to participate in the challenge. Dig through your stuff that you keep hording back. Pick something that you just had to have and have never used....and use it! Please try to stick to Stampin' Up! products to help inspire us to use what we already have.

  • Make a card with something you already have but have never used - Stamp set, embellishment, or just something you purchased and haven't gotten to yet.
  • Second, make a card using some kind of dry embossing. You may use a stylus and stencil or just use your cutter for a straight edge to make grid/score lines.
  • Make a card using a cardbase only. No layers. Helpful hint - mask off your paper and do light sponging, stamp an image over that, and your sentiment off to the side.

And more Fall pictures

Wow, look at the wonderful job Melissa, Claudette and Mary all did on the challenge.

  • Mary did the card with the cute little spider for a Halloween card

  • Melissa did the cards with the stocking and the Peaceful Wishes pine. And the Snow Swirled card in an earlier post with the blue cosmo glitter.

  • Claudette used Bloomin Wonderful, Flower for all Seasons and made that adorable Sana box.

Thanks so much for everyone participating in the challenge. It's a lot of fun to see the different things we all come up with. I am going to go ahead and post next month's challenge to give you all more time. Give it a try!
